My friend was teasing her daughter about being a crybaby. They watched Shrek Forever After and her eldest daughter cried. According to my friend, her daughter cries in every movie they watch. I was laughing at their banter. But I realized after that I am also a crybaby. I also cry a little in almost every movie I get to watch. I think it’s the melodramatic in me that surfaces during those times I shed a tear or two.
I cried in The Last Song when the little boy, the younger brother of the lead character broke down when his dad was in critical condition already. I cried when Tatum Channing cried in Dear John. I cried a little in How To Train Your Dragon during the part that the boy realized he lost his leg. And so many more scenes in different movies I’ve watched.
Have you cried while watching a movie yourself?
What were the last three movies you saw and did you enjoy them?
The last 3 movies I saw are Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Dear John, and Sherlock Holmes. I enjoyed the first and last one. The middle is just okay.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief was good. The movie is about the son of Poseidon and how he found out he was a descendant of a Greek god. He is a demi-god being accused of stealing Zeus’ thunderbolt. After watching the movie, it made you want to grab your old mythology book and read it all over again.
Dear John is a love story between a soldier and a college girl. They met while she’s on vacation. After years of maintaining a long-distance relationship (he’s somewhere being a soldier, she’s in college in the US) through exchange of letters (thus, the title of the movie), she just decided that it’s over. She stopped writing to him and decided to marry the family friend who’s older than her and has an autistic son. When they saw each other years later, John going home because his father died, she realized how much she’s still in love with John (who wouldn’t? He’s uber hot!). Long story short, the husband had cancer and died. She and John reconnected and lived happily ever after.
After watching the movie, it made me want to strangle the girl for being fickleminded!
Sherlock Holmes is a really good movie! Jude Law and Robert Downey, Jr. are the best! I went out of the movie house in love with them both haha
