I remember seeing Au Bon Pain when I was in between jobs. It’s near the spot in the mall that I frequent when I was attending one interview after another. I was without funds most of that time. Nothing. I couldn’t buy anything. The Au Bon Pain was mocking me with its big sign and luscious aroma.
Good thing now I can afford to go eat there. And anywhere I want!
Mike is in dire need of a pick-me-up. He’s been scowling a lot lately, obviously worrying about something. It might have something to do with the stress from the project he’s handling at work. Fely has two cars. Since her space in the garage is very limited, in fact only for one car, she thought of getting one of those car lifts that her local mechanic was telling her about. She can park her other car on it then lift so that she can park the other one down. She has yet to figure out how she can pull it off but her local mechanic told her that he will help.
Parking slots are limited when you live in the city. If you see a wide one parking area, chances are you pay for the slot you get. Per hour! What if you need to park your car every single day at night till early morning? How much will you shell out if you do that? That’s why Fely is figuring out how she can work around having two cars at home with only one parking slot.
I don’t know why there are people who prevent someone from starting a new life. They want to drag a person down, not giving the person a chance to redeem him/herself.
I know some people with crab mentality. It’s not good being around those people. You feel like they want you down on luck more than the positive words they tell you.
Don’t be a crab! Push people up instead of pulling them down. Believe me, those people you helped push up will be the people who will pull you up when you are down and out.
Dolly is known amongst her peers as the big and loud one. She’s the one who mothers everyone and makes all around her crack up. She’s the life of the party! But Dolly’s done with the ‘big’ tag. She now wants to be called the cute/slimmer and loud one instead of the old tag her peers gave her.
She’s taking diet pills. She is determined to become smaller in frame. She’s eating less and working out more. She’s also not seeing her peers for the past three months now. She wants them to see her when she’s already lost quite a number of pounds.
My friend who is now based in Chicago will be sending gifts over. She will send it through her husband who will be visiting the country for a site launch. I am excited to get my gift as well as those of our two common friends’. I just know it will be something special since she couldn’t keep herself from being so excited over her gift for me.
I also can’t wait to get my hands on the gifts. I think it will either be a book or a bag. Or it can be a notebook. She is more of a sister than a friend and she really knows me well.
So excited I can’t wait!
I swear I want an iphone 3g now just because I am in love with Instagram! I am envious of friends who post awesome photos taken from their iphones. Now I know why people are queuing up just to get their hands on the brand new models. Now I know why some iphone fanatics endured the snow just to get a unit of the amazing phone with the cool applications.
Now I also want one for myself! I am weary about shelling out an amount like the price of the phone but I think it will be worth it!
One of the things that I love to eat is fried rice. Yummy fried rice with anything in it (bacon, ham, ground meat, veggies, etc). This fried rice has strips of mango and sliced tomatoes and marinated sliced pork on the side.
Delish!
I know there are diet pills that work. There are products like that out in the market. Do you know why I know for sure? Because I have two friends who really lost weight due to taking diet pills. They lost 20 and 14 pounds each and both are losing weight slowly. They feel lighter now considering both are nearing their ideal weights.
I wish I can feel the same. I wish I can lose weight just as fast as them. Too bad I can’t because my body has very slow metabolism and before I can address my weight issues, I have to address my metabolism problems first.
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll fight with your best friend. You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did. You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.
Don’t be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Delia has a daughter who suffers from epilepsy. She would have seizures that scare those who don’t know what to do with her. For that matter, Delia got a nanny for her daughter who will always be by her side 24/7.

Danica is now a mother of two kids age 3 and 4. She got married and gave birth the same year, when she was just 19. She left college and wasn’t able to go back because she’s busy at home taking care of her kids and being a wife as well. From preparation to the start of the ballet recital performances up to the end, the parents were recording it all!
I remember attending, this time, a piano recital and it’s the same thing. The parents of the kids were more excited than the kids themselves. Can you blame the parents who didn’t experience the same thing when they were little kids?
I saw my high school History teacher last holiday break. It was a blast seeing him again! We had so much fun talking about high school, the other teachers, my schoolmates and about other people we both know. It was gossip-fest to the max! I enjoyed it a lot.
An hour or so before we went our separate ways, he asked me why I am not yet married. I told him I haven’t found the right man yet. He said that I might be choosy and that I have a very high standard…
In all honesty, I do have a high standard when it comes to the man I’ll marry. Not in the looks department. But I need someone with a brain. I need a man who can literally take care of everything for me. I need someone who’s a take-charge kind of person. Someone who reads books (and not only those Playboy mags!). Someone with whom I can talk to about anything and everything under the sun. Someone who’s funny and can understand my quirks. Someone with whom I can share everything with and still accept me for who I am.
I have waited this far why would I settle for someone below my standards? Unless the man swept me off my feet, I’d rather stay single than settle for less than that. I have been taking care of every one around me for far too long that when I marry, I want my man to take care of me. That’s not a crime, right?
Lizzie is going to do her grocery shopping this weekend. It will be a month’s worth of grocery items and she is preparing a list to be sure she won’t forget anything. And she also plans to go to the grocery store early on the day so as not to be in the middle of a big crowd on payday.
She is very thankful for the laser barcode scanner each check out counter has. If not, it will surely be a long line of shoppers waiting to be checked out.
Anna and her sisters all love good music. They exist on a dose of good music and are actually not happy without it. Whatever they do at home, the radio is always on. It can either be just their favorite FM station or it can be a marathon of their favorite music albums.
They have floor standing speakers in the living room. They saved up to buy a pair. That’s how important sounds are in their home.
They are now planning to have a centralized music at home. One wherein you only need to turn a dial inside any room in the house and you will hear whatever music is playing in the living room. Nice, isn’t it?
This is the first of the several changes I am planning in this blog. A change of theme! I am actually in a quandary ever since I opened this blog. I don’t know what theme to use. I am not sure what is appropriate for a blog that talks about random stuff.
I finally found this theme called Black Board. As you can see, it looks like random stuff have been written on the background. It actually looks like the inside of my mind. Full of random stuff in it!
So the theme change is done.
