Lots of your peers think that they’re good at juggling. They rush this way and that dealing with emergencies, handling multiple priorities, and never letting anything fall through the cracks. But that’s not juggling. That’s rushing around like a madman.
- The Big Moo
Guilty!
I was once very proud that I was good at multi tasking. I could juggle 3 to 5 tasks at the same time. I could read, chat, write, and code without missing a beat. That was me.
And then I realized that by juggling tasks all the time, I wasn’t giving my best to any of those tasks. I was giving a mediocre performance for each one task I handle. Life was not fun anymore and it was just all about beating the deadline or rushing to complete something. It wasn’t supposed to be like that.
I am happy to say I am no longer doing that. I have limited my multi tasking to whenever necessary only. Life should be enjoyed and not rushed into.
Do you agree with me on that?

He is expecting a lazy Friday night at home. His wife is on a business trip and will be back home by Sunday morning. Their son is busy preparing for an exam by next week. He thought of bring work home so he can possibly do some of it and not rush on Monday morning but he thought of the Acid cigars he was given by his brother-in-law and he immediately saw himself at the master’s bedroom balcony sipping a glass of wine and smoking his cigar.
He will no longer bring work home but instead will be bringing take-out dinner for him and his son. He will enjoy his lazy Friday night and his cigar and will sleep in on Saturday morning.
Sweet!
Something expensive is not a guarantee that a service is better or a product more effective. Sometimes, the cheaper one is more worth your hard earned money. How about a cheap website hosting then instead of a pricey one that has the same features as that of the former?
I am not really a frugal person but these days I am learning to look for cheaper alternatives for expenses that I pay for monthly and annually. It has become a must to tighten my belt a bit as prices of basic commodities are going up while my income remains the same. Since I maintain several web sites that I plan to transfer to a new web host soon, I am looking for a cheaper alternative. I am looking for a cheap web hosting account what will guarantee me that it is always up and running. I am done paying for a web hosting account that promises me the high heavens but when it comes to the actual service I experience hell on earth.
I am checking the list of web hosting providers at WebHostingColumns.com now and I am searching for the best one with the cheapest offer. Hopefully, I can find one based on the list from the site.
I am going PINK for October!
It’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. Since I strongly wish for all cancer patients to experience a miracle in their lives and survive, I am joining everyone who supports Breast Cancer Awareness in spreading the love for all those who are suffering from it and have suffered and ended the battle already.
Let’s go pink!

Hahaha!
Just something to laugh about in this Tuesday afternoon.
Happy Tuesday everyone!

The highest courage is to dare to be yourself in the face of adversity. Choosing right over wrong, ethics over convenience, and truth over popularity… These are the choices that measure your life. Travel the path of integrity without looking back, for there is never a wrong time to do the right thing.

I can’t help but share this quote I got in my inbox yesterday. It’s about facing adversity. It’s so easy to give in to what’s popular, what’s an easy way out for us, when faced by a tough test. But the true measure of a person’s integrity is standing by what’s true and right. It’s not easy but if we can do it, if we pass the test, we will surely come out stronger than we have ever been in our lives.
And people will respect you more for that.
You know if we have a couple of sets of friends we go through seasons with them. Admit it, there are weeks when all you want is to talk to a set of friends who are as passionate about something as you are as of the moment. And then weeks will pass when you don’t feel like talking to them anymore. It’s either you got tired of the same stuff or you feel like being with another set of friends. I know because I’ve gone through the same phase. I go through the same phase.
But even if I don’t feel like talking to certain friends, I still make an effort to update myself with what’s happening with them. I still make an effort for them to feel that I am a friend and that I may not be as active in their lives now, I am still here.
I just can’t understand why some people would point blank become rude to good friends and ignore them when those very same friends will surely be there during the toughest of times in their lives.
Denise is still one year more before she finishes her Dentistry degree. She still has to review and take the board exams after but it will be just a little less than two years and she will be a full pledged Dentist already. For now she has to stop studying for a while and look for Dental Assistant Jobs to be able to save up for tuition and other school fees.
She is one step closer to fulfilling her dreams. She will not stop until she gets what she has always wanted to become. Stopping from college for a while is part of her plans. Anyway, she can continue anytime she wants and still become a Dentist in the near future.

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
- Mohandas Gandhi
Happiness and harmony should come hand in hand. One without the other is not what it actually is. There will always be something missing. But what I do believe is that we can choose happiness. I think if we set our minds to it, everything else will follow.
Yes, including total harmony in our lives.
Through the years, I found that preparing for the holidays early is best. Prepare a list early and then start buying gifts every time you get your paycheck. That’s what I do and have been doing for a few years now. I found this very effective since by the time holiday rolls, you will only be buying gifts for those people you have missed out on your list or for new acquaintances.
And when you have to buy something a bit heavy on the pocket, like a PS3 for a sibling or a cousin or a godchild, it is best to buy it early so that you can still save up for the other gifts you have to buy.
Mika is expecting. She is five months pregnant and family and friends and everyone who loves her are so excited to welcome the bundle of joy of Mika’s life. She’s been waiting to get pregnant for the past five years and when she finally announced that she is, everyone wanted to throw a party for her and her husband!
Now, her friends together with her close family members are sending out baby shower invitations. They are organizing a big baby shower for Mika and they want everyone who loves her to attend it.
When Ika and Joyce were young, they used to play dress up. They would wear dresses and pretend they’re going to parties and special events. They would pretend to wear make up and would spend so much time brushing their hair. They would then put ribbons on their heads and use small handbags of their mother.
Now that they are in their late teens, they are both considering going to Cosmetology school instead of the usual university or college. They both want to become experts in the field of beauty. And they know they can only get that kind of on-campus training at the Regency Beauty Institute!

The bridal entourage will have a conference call to finalize the details of the bridal shower. It is still six weeks before the wedding and they are planning to throw the shower by next weekend. Since the maid of honor is abroad for a few days, she will ask everyone to use the conference call free trial that she found online. She really wants to talk to the girls to make the bridal shower memorable for their dear friend.
And it will be! The girls are in control of the party preparations and the conference call will just finalize the arrangements.
Dina loves fast motorbikes. Her dad got her one when she graduated in college and a couple of bell helmets. Safety is one thing that her dad wants her to be aware of. He will let her live her life the way she wants it to but her dad wants her to take care of herself.
I think it’s fair, right? Dina is allowed to live however she sees fit and the only thing her dad is asking from her is to make sure that she is always safe.
Well, not totally but Melvin wants to kick his smoking habit. More like lessen it by smoking an e cigarette now. He felt the need to change his lifestyle when one of his maternal uncles died of cancer. He just got scared and saw his life passing by before his eyes. He didn’t like what he saw and thought of ways to change his life.
The smoking habit is the start. He will stop some other bad habits, too. He will be more active in sports like he was back in college. And more changes coming. He wants to live longer and see his kids grow up.
I have short curly hair. It’s actually more kinky than curly. It’s not good at all. I want to have soft curls and my friends have been telling me to go to a salon and have a hair expert take care of my hair for me. It would be costly so I am looking for an alternative to it.
I found agadir hair products. I am reading about it and asking around if anyone tried it already. I want to try it and see if it will work for me. If it does, imagine my savings!
One of the best advices that Kyle dished out when we were talking was to work hard for a comfortable life but to play harder for a happier life! I do think he is right. How else can we enjoy life if we are only working and doing nothing else?
Kyle works for a company as a purchasing officer. He just found SMT Stencils when we saw each other. He was looking for it for days and as a reward to himself for finding one, he treated me to a sumptuous dinner! And then we went bowling. Hard work must mean a good time after to play.
Most students these days don’t use notebooks anymore. I am talking about paper notebooks. These days, it’s more like acer netbooks for each one of them. Or as three universities in the country have implemented already, tablets for each college student.
Schools are going high tech nowadays. I think it is also a way of the schools in preparing students for what they will be dealing with in their future jobs. Being computer literate is not optional anymore. It is a must for every job applicant! My siblings and I are just lucky we have a desktop at home that we used to practice on before applying for a job.
A neighbor really goes all out when it comes to Halloween decorations. She spends quite a sum of money and encourages kids in the neighborhood to trick or treat. It has become an annual event already, waiting for October 1st to see the Halloween stuff she will put up in front of her house.
Kids are joking about it. Who’s scared, who’s not. Her decors are that good! She is childless so I think her love for kids is propelling her to do this year after year. She admits she is happy when she sees kids enjoying themselves and having fun.

I love traveling to different places. And I would love to explore places I’ve never been to. The only hindrance is funds. Oh well…
Soon. I can feel it
