My friend was teasing her daughter about being a crybaby. They watched Shrek Forever After and her eldest daughter cried. According to my friend, her daughter cries in every movie they watch. I was laughing at their banter. But I realized after that I am also a crybaby. I also cry a little in almost every movie I get to watch. I think it’s the melodramatic in me that surfaces during those times I shed a tear or two.
I cried in The Last Song when the little boy, the younger brother of the lead character broke down when his dad was in critical condition already. I cried when Tatum Channing cried in Dear John. I cried a little in How To Train Your Dragon during the part that the boy realized he lost his leg. And so many more scenes in different movies I’ve watched.
When I was younger, I used to dream of collecting angel figurines. Like the photo above. I love angels. I feel like there’s one guiding us every step of the way and the figurine is a perfect representation of the angel I have in mind. A friend in college gave me two angel figurines. I know my mom stored most of our things because we were supposed to move. I think it’s in one of the boxes left unopened upstairs.
I no longer dream of collecting angel figurines. I still love angels but I have outgrown that desire for clutter. I think I will get single one for my room soon. Not now but soon when I already have the money to buy a Lladro.
I have been thinking of getting a condo unit. Partly as an investment, partly because I want something to call my very own. We all live in a house owned by my dad. He keeps on telling us that the house will go to us in the future. But I don’t want to to share in it. I want the house to go to our youngest. Anyway, my sisters and I can afford to get our own houses.
What I like in a condo is that it is small and easy to maintain. And I must admit, it is a status symbol for some people. It is for me. It will be a visible sign of how much I was able to achieve in my life.
I saw a question that goes like this… do you wear socks when you go to bed?
And it reminded me of the socks I got last Christmas from my sister. A few years ago, I got into wearing socks whenever I go to bed. But these days, I don’t wear socks all the time anymore. I wear it when I am sick. For some reason I feel fine when I wear socks especially when I have a fever.
Or when my feet aches so bad from too much walking.
I have a pile of unread and unopened books beside me. I kept telling myself that I will read one book on weekends until I finish the pile. But on weekends, I work some more. Instead of relaxing with a good book on my hands, I am in front of my computer, working my butt off!
I know it’s a problem of time management because the past years, I was able to read and work at the same time. I think my multi-tasking ability is also going down the drain. I used to be able to work, read, chat and listen to the radio. All at the same time. But now, I get distracted so easily. For some reason, I can’t even focus on a book because my mind is in chaos.
I ought to start reading the book I got from my friend last Christmas. Maybe if I start with one, I might be able to get back my ability to multi-task. What do you think?
I am one of those persons who just love late night chats over coffee. I can talk for hours! In fact, just the other night, my two sisters was able to hit the sack finally at two in the morning. And all because I was talking to them about anything and everything under the sun! We were laughing about it the next day. Both were so sleepy at work. One is an accountant, the other one is a teacher. You can just imagine them yawning at work because their older sister was too chatty the night before!
Plus, the coffee really made them wide awake when they should be sleeping already by 11PM! Ha! Ha! Ha!
I love those stores near the beach. You know, the ones where you can buy all those kutingtingin or accessories and novelty items. My sister went to Boracay last year and she went home with all those novelty items that I love! I swear I will go to Boracay just for those little things hehe
I love it! It’s so soft and heaven to my tired aching feet. I found it at the department store for a little over $2. There are other colors but I chose this one because pink’s just cute to me these days.
I am thinking of buying other fluffy slippers but this one will do for now.
Don’t you just love guys who have really good voices? I’ve been watching GLEE with my siblings and this is one of my favorites from the hit FOX series…
That’s Puck singing Sweet Caroline for you GLEEks out there! He is adorable in that scene! I am not much of a Puck fan but after this episode, I became one.
What were the last three movies you saw and did you enjoy them?
The last 3 movies I saw are Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Dear John, and Sherlock Holmes. I enjoyed the first and last one. The middle is just okay.
Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief was good. The movie is about the son of Poseidon and how he found out he was a descendant of a Greek god. He is a demi-god being accused of stealing Zeus’ thunderbolt. After watching the movie, it made you want to grab your old mythology book and read it all over again.
Dear John is a love story between a soldier and a college girl. They met while she’s on vacation. After years of maintaining a long-distance relationship (he’s somewhere being a soldier, she’s in college in the US) through exchange of letters (thus, the title of the movie), she just decided that it’s over. She stopped writing to him and decided to marry the family friend who’s older than her and has an autistic son. When they saw each other years later, John going home because his father died, she realized how much she’s still in love with John (who wouldn’t? He’s uber hot!). Long story short, the husband had cancer and died. She and John reconnected and lived happily ever after.
After watching the movie, it made me want to strangle the girl for being fickleminded!
Sherlock Holmes is a really good movie! Jude Law and Robert Downey, Jr. are the best! I went out of the movie house in love with them both haha
You are a friendly, social person. You seek out connections and relationships.
Being close to others is very important to you, and you don’t like discord.
You feel great when you’re cooperating and working with others. You enjoy belonging to a group.
Nothing makes you feel worse that feeling alone or alienated. You want to be liked by those around you.
You are accepting, peaceful, and connected with nature. You’ve reached a state of bliss.
Your idea of style is being completely natural and comfortable. You aren’t trying to impress anyone.
At your best, you are simple and content. You don’t need much in this world to be happy.
At your worst, you are a little irresponsible. You are on “island time”!
I do! I think there’s so much inspiration in this office. What do you think? I love the red and white theme, plus the fact that it’s so organized. I just organized my stuff at my small home-office corner. It took me a couple of hours but after it, I was so inspired to write. When you see an organized room, you’d either get down to business or run scared. I’m for the former.
What about you? Do you like an organized and squeaky clean office or do you like the chaotic/messy one?
Remember I told you about how much I love coinpurses? Well, it turned out that a blogger-friend of mine read it and thought of giving me a coin purse to make me smile.
She did! She gave it to me last holiday season and I love it!
Thanks, my friend! I am using it for a month already and I love squeezing the purse’s legs hehehe
Your Handwriting Says You Are Somewhat Traditional
You are a laid back person with rather low energy. You aren’t lazy… you *are* sensitive and empathetic.
You are somewhat outgoing, but you’re not a natural extrovert. You think first before you act. You tend to be independent, rational, and logical.
You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.
You need a bit of space in your life, but you’re not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.
You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart.
You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous.
In all honesty, I’m the type of person who is easily enchanted over little things. Mundane, as my friend would have it. I saw a couch the last time I went to the home section of my favorite mall. If I have the money with me, I would have bought it right away! I love the couch that much!
I sat on it and I felt an instant connection to it. Much like the comfy couch in the photo above. Instant attraction, I tell you. I saw myself sitting on it in a cozy, cold night, draped in my warm blanket and reading a good book.
This is something totally random. My mind is full of random things.
When I have money, I feel like I need to buy so many things. I remember buying a portable keyboard just because I wanted to. I haven’t been using it a lot and it’s just lying here under my computer tower, collecting dust. I tried using it a couple of times but I hated the feel of it on my fingertips so I stopped each and every time I tried.
I also have a couple of books I bought just because I was in the bookstore. Most of it I haven’t read because I am maintaining a tight schedule since the start of the holiday season up to now. I know I will be able to read it but I just think I shelled out the money too easily even though I knew my schedule to be tight.
The same goes for some other items here at home that I was surprised to find that I bought without any need to. Sigh.
And now I conclude this post by saying that I will no longer buy things that I don’t really, really need! That’s another goal that I hope to achieve this year. As I’ve said, this is the year to start living the right life.
If you’ve been reading this blog, you probably know by now that I have an obsession with anything cute. Especially coin purses and fluffy slippers! I found this cute wool coin purse and I think I will look for one when I go to the mall again. It’s sooo cute!
My friend, Anna, gave me a really, really cute coin purse. I actually took a couple of photos of it but due to my digicam acting up, I was not able to upload the photos yet. But I will try later so I can post it here. I’ve been using it and it’s just so darn cute!
I easily get bored. That’s why I need to have a diversion always on standby. And my diversion comes in the form of books! I have a lot of books always on standby to cure my boredom. In fact, I always have at least three books beside me should I need something else to focus on.
