Family isn’t always blood. They’re the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what!
- Anon
This is true. There are people around us who are better family members than the true ones we have. Admit it, you have a friend who is more concerned about your well-being than your sibling or parent. I know for a fact I am more concerned about my good friend’s happiness than any of her relatives who maltreated her when we were younger.
Blood doesn’t always mean family. Remember that.
Lots of your peers think that they’re good at juggling. They rush this way and that dealing with emergencies, handling multiple priorities, and never letting anything fall through the cracks. But that’s not juggling. That’s rushing around like a madman.
- The Big Moo
Guilty!
I was once very proud that I was good at multi tasking. I could juggle 3 to 5 tasks at the same time. I could read, chat, write, and code without missing a beat. That was me.
And then I realized that by juggling tasks all the time, I wasn’t giving my best to any of those tasks. I was giving a mediocre performance for each one task I handle. Life was not fun anymore and it was just all about beating the deadline or rushing to complete something. It wasn’t supposed to be like that.
I am happy to say I am no longer doing that. I have limited my multi tasking to whenever necessary only. Life should be enjoyed and not rushed into.
Do you agree with me on that?

The highest courage is to dare to be yourself in the face of adversity. Choosing right over wrong, ethics over convenience, and truth over popularity… These are the choices that measure your life. Travel the path of integrity without looking back, for there is never a wrong time to do the right thing.
- Unknown
I can’t help but share this quote I got in my inbox yesterday. It’s about facing adversity. It’s so easy to give in to what’s popular, what’s an easy way out for us, when faced by a tough test. But the true measure of a person’s integrity is standing by what’s true and right. It’s not easy but if we can do it, if we pass the test, we will surely come out stronger than we have ever been in our lives.
And people will respect you more for that.

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
- Mohandas Gandhi
Happiness and harmony should come hand in hand. One without the other is not what it actually is. There will always be something missing. But what I do believe is that we can choose happiness. I think if we set our minds to it, everything else will follow.
Yes, including total harmony in our lives.

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll fight with your best friend. You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did. You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.
Don’t be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

What can I say? Live life and make the best out of what you have now.
Happy Sunday!

Soup puts the heart at ease, eliminates the tension of the day and awakens and refines the appetite.
- Auguste Escoffier
I am not really into soup but when I am feeling down or sick or just plain in need of comfort, I ask for one.
Happy mid-week to all of you!

No matter where you stand right now—on a hilltop, in a gutter, at a crossroads, in a rut—you need to give yourself the best you have to offer in this moment.
- Oprah
Happy weekend everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the good weather! Go spend time with your love ones!

A sound mind in a sound body is a short but full description of a happy state in this world.
- John Locke
I wish I can say that I have a sound mind and body but I am not really sure. My memory somewhat went down a few notches ever since I started relying on calculators and spreadsheets. My body is surely not a sound one considering I get sick easily.
But I can say that I am in a happy state right now.

Abundance is, in large part, an attitude.
- Sue Patton Thoele
I believe this. I believe that every little thing in this world is just a matter of attitude. Even if we have more than enough but we always think that it isn’t, then we’ll always be lacking of something. But when we put in mind that we can make do with whatever we have, minuscule as it is, then it is enough.
It’s a matter of putting into mind whatever we believe in.

The essence of all health begins through joyful living.
- Jesse Dylan
Happy mid-week to all!

Every time we’re hurt or feel like we can’t go on, it’s someone reaching out and connecting that makes the difference. And love—no matter how it’s offered or when it comes—can build a bridge to something better.
- Oprah
Happy weekend everyone!

You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.
You know what they say about love… you have to love yourself first so you are capable of loving others. You cannot attempt to know love when you are not even showing yourself some of that love.
I know someone who easily falls in love. She gives her all. She’s not leaving something for herself. And each man would treat her like dirt and eventually leaves her for someone else. And then she learned to value and love herself first.
She is now with a man who hopefully will love her for who she is and won’t hurt her along the way.

Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.
- Paul Boese
I am big on forgiveness. I guess when you become older, you tend to be more forgiving. Or in my case, anyway. I always keep in mind that life is short. Sure, I am not perfect. I still get angry. There are persons I don’t talk to. But in my heart there’s no hatred and I always forgive. If not, I forget which is a good thing
Forgive and forget. Life is too short to be carrying these things in our hearts. And time is wasted on these negative emotions so if we can, let’s not dwell too much on anger and hatred.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be?
Something to think about…
Happy weekend!

When you find a look that speaks to you, you’ll be comfortable and look beautiful. That’s the real power of fashion – to enhance who you already are.
I must admit that I am no fashion plate. I always go for what will be comfortable for me. I also go for safe colors, black being the main one.
I know it fits me so I go for it.

Understand that the right to choose your own path is a sacred privilege. Use it. Dwell in possibility.
- Oprah
And once again, Miss O is spot on! I do believe that we choose our own path and when we already make a choice and made a wrong one, it is hard to go back and choose again. But we can do that. We can change our course. It’s all up to us.

If we agree that the bottom line of life is happiness, not success, then it makes perfect sense to say that it is the journey that counts, not reaching the destination.
I do believe that it’s really not the result itself but the quest to achieve that result is the one that really counts. Just like what the song says…
There’s always gonna be another mountain, I’m always gonna wanna make it move. Always gonna be an uphill battle…
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose.
Ain’t about how fast I get there. Ain’t about what’s waitin’ on the other side…
It’s the climb.

I believe luck is preparation meeting opportunity. If you hadn’t been prepared when the opportunity came along, you wouldn’t have been ‘lucky.’
- Oprah
I believe this, too!

Life can change in an instant. Sometimes it’s the result of a chance encounter, or the reading of a letter discovered at the bottom of a jewelry box…And sometimes it happens over office supplies.
- Maria Wilhelm & Dirk Mathison
Happy Monday everyone!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
- Mark Twain
I hope you are all enjoying your week. Remember what the quote said, sail away from the safe harbour. Get out of your comfort zone! There’s so much out there for us to explore and discover.
Happy mid-week everyone!
