Odd jobs for wood dash

Since Rey doesn’t have enough money to buy the wood dash he wants for his car, he did odd jobs. He cleaned cars of his neighbors. He accompanied his uncles and aunts to process different documents. He also fixed computer problems of neighbors and friends. All for a minimal fee he asked. And guess what? He is now ready to buy the wood dash he has been eyeing for quite sometime now!

He is getting it from CARiD.com where he saw not only the wood dash kit but also other car accessories he is now saving up for as well. It’s good that Rey isn’t asking money from his parents but doing something, working for it, to be able to buy what his car needs.

Lost ipods

Both Nic and Gary, my teenage cousins, lost their ipods in school. My aunts are probably there now to inquire about what happened. The two were told not to bring their brand new ipods but they wanted to show it to their friends so they still brought it to school with them. They left it in their bags and went to lunch at the school cafeteria. When they went back after thirty minutes, their ipods were gone!

I think schools are places prone to burglaries and robberies. And not by outsiders but other kids themselves! How else could you explain the disappearance of the ipods? Nobody else knew the ipods were in my cousins’ bags but their classmates. Who do you suspect then?

Two old tv sets

My uncle brought home two sets of tv with tv stands. His boss gave it to him because they replaced the tv sets they have at home with brand new HDTV. Wow! I told my uncle that the next time his boss discards the HDTV, I would want to have the other one.

There are some people who really have the means to buy brand new products whenever they want to. I hope I can be in that position in a few years. I can buy brand new products, yes, but not on a whim. I need to save up for it first and then budget accordingly.

Helping is satisfying.

There is something satisfying with helping another person in need. Even as simple a gesture as sending out baby shower invitations for her gives you an enormous feeling of satisfaction. I help those who are close to me and my family as much as I can. If I can do it, then all you need to do is ask.

Of course, I have my limitations. If you just keep on asking and depending on me, I would know it and I will start declining every request. I have a friend who’s like that. Now, whenever she asks for a favor, I decline it. There’s a difference to needing and abusing someone’s generosity.

Filthy rich

We have a filthy rich neighbor. He buys paintings like he buys a bar of chocolate. I tell you, he has a lot at home! A burglar and a curator will have a field day inside it. He also buys cars like toys. The last time I saw him Ferrari parts were being delivered to his house. Imagine how much that cost him, not to mention the Ferrari itself!

How I wish I have the same amount of money at my disposal. I would probably be hoarding books just like he hoards paintings! Hehehe

Eating fruits

fruits

I drink a lot of mango shakes. Not in one day but I do drink regularly. At least twice a week. I also drink lots of buko juice. I just love both! I am not much a fruit person but I have my choices. Banana, mango, buko, apple, orange, pineapple, watermelon…

I wish the fruits I mentioned can act like the best diet supplement so that I need not worry about losing weight anymore. I wish I can shed off calories and bad cholesterol with eating fruits. I also wish I am not as choosy with the fruits I eat!

Loud conversation

You know how men are always on the lookout for aids in the bedroom. Products to enhance their performance and such. I think you cannot blame them. Men are egotistical by nature. They are also competitive. They don’t want to be labeled lame or a failure. I am no longer surprised when I heard two men in the railway station talking about vigrx plus. They were talking about loud, mind you. They were probably deaf because people were looking their way and they didn’t mind it. Or are they salesmen pitching the product to those who might be interested listening to their conversation?

I ended up laughing along with others with the sexual misadventures of the older guy. It was really funny! Suddenly, people were no longer in a hurry to go home!

Grandpa and his creations

We were checking tools in the garage when we found the box cutter of grandpa. He used to have all these various tools in his shed that he used when repairing a lot of things at home. He was a carpenter and he lived up to it by having all the tools one needs.

I wish I got the creative side of him. He used to make all the little chairs for us his grandchildren. He also made two rocking chairs for him and grandma. He even created a treehouse for us when we were little kids and it still sits atop two branches of the tree in our backyard. Whenever we think of grandpa, we think of good and fun times as kids.

A luxury

sleeping

Sally needs to get allergy bedding for her. She is having a hard time sleeping when her allergy attacks. With an allergy-free bedding, she is assured of a good night’s sleep.

For some people, sleeping is already a luxury. There are those who work two jobs a day, or those who have insomnia. Or those who opt to stay awake because they are doing something to increase their income. That’s why those people don’t want anything to distract them from their sleep. Not even an allergy.

Off to a road trip

RoadTrip

Vera and her best friend Jody are going in a road trip by next week. They will be on and off the road for two weeks visiting friends and love ones along the way. They’ve been planning the trip for several months now and are both very excited for it! They got an emergency assistance service to be on standby so that whatever happens on the road, should they need an assistance, there will be someone to call. They also got their supplies and whatever else they need already. And their vehicle was checked thoroughly by their go-to car shop.

They’re bringing their cameras and camcorders with them plus lots and lots of enthusiasm to explore the road!

A really good boss

One of my cousins work for an amusement company. It is owned by a foreigner who has been treating him and the other employees really well. He’s been with the company for ten years now and he has no plans of resigning or looking into other jobs.

He told me that his boss just thought of replacing all the office furniture and buying brand new ones. According to his boss, it is his way of saying thank you to all his employees for the continued support to the company all these years. My cousin is, of course, very happy with the announcement and have been hard at work looking for replacement office furniture. And his conviction to stay in the company until it no longer needs him grew even more!

Into hip hop

Of course my little cousins are into hip hop. You can see them wearing hip hop clothing from time to time. They look cute and I know it’s clean fun so we indulge them. Plus those kids study hard and help their parents when they are needed.

My brother, on the other hand, is now into simple clothes. I think he outgrew all those fad clothes already. I remember he would requests those clothes whenever we went shopping. But now, he is more into shirts and jeans. And I like my brother’s get up just like that.

Up for promotion

Paulie bought several hand dryers for their company. He was able to get a huge discount because he found out that a long lost cousin works for the vendor. Paulie is working doubly hard to impress his bosses because he is up for a promotion. He wants that badly and he knows that the huge discount he got will be a big plus for him.

He needs the promotion because his family is expanding. His wife will give birth in three months with their first baby. He is also still paying for a townhouse he got for him and his wife five years ago. So staying employed and getting that promotion are the two things he is focusing on right now.

Being busy = lack of appetite

Being busy can make you lose weight. When I have too much work to do, I forget to eat. Mainly because I hate to break my train of thought if I get up from my computer desk. I hate distraction in any form, especially when I am on a roll. And eating falls under the distraction category. Thus, I really lack the appetite to eat when I am hard at work.

I’ve been reading diet pill reviews and I don’t know if I can take one. I am really afraid to get sick being overweight and all but I am also afraid to take in anything that can adversely affect my body. I think I will have to consult with a medical expert first before anything else.

Can’t stop!

Don can’t stop smoking. He’s been told time and again that it’s bad for him, more so because he had lung problems when he was younger. Being the stubborn one in their family, he just kept on doing what he wants, damn the consequences! So his family did some research and found the electric cigarette. They told him about it and Don seemed more open to the idea of using that instead of the real one.

These days being sick can be a big hassle not only for you but for those around you, too. It’s not just the sick person who will suffer but everyone around him will be affected just as much. Better to take care of one’s health than to sic upon others your misery when you are already sick.
