He started with one cowboy hat that became three then five and before he knew it, he now has a twenty one hats of different types and styles on his wall.

He doesn’t think he will stop collecting as he now has his eye on another hat. This time around it’s a rare cowboy hat from Texas that he saw online. So the hat collection will grow and the hats on the walls won’t stop at twenty one!

I am praying for more work to come in so that my income will increase significantly. I have plans to fund so I really need to work harder to earn more. As a preparation for more work coming in, two laptops will be with me ready for use. I already have my couple of months old laptop and I also plan to buy a new one as a backup. I really need my laptops as I also plan to move a lot this year, you know travel a lot.

I really pray that the work will start pouring in. I need it. I really do. And the money that will come from it.

It came to me that when push comes to shove, I don’t have anything to fall back on. Yes, I do know how to write. I am decent with it. But then there are better writers out there. So where will that leave me? I need a fall back plan and I will have to put it into action right away!

I am thinking of enrolling in a cosmetology school. I can possibly cut hair of women and learn to style it. How about that as a fall back plan? Open a salon in our neighborhood and manage it as well. Great idea, right?

He popped the question last Valentine’s Day and since then they were busy preparing for the big day that will happen on the 25th. It will be an intimate affair as only immediate family members, choice relatives and very close friends will be attending. A little less than a hundred guests. The wedding will be held at a garden chapel at a subdivision they used to frequent where the best man lives. The reception will be held at the groom’s parents’ mansion.

Christmas Day has become an extra special occasion not just for the couple but also for the guests who will be witnessing a grand union between two very much in love individuals.

God’s own image. We are born with it, was what my teachers would tell me and my classmates. You know what? I don’t think I’ve ever had image issues. I know I am on the heavier side when it comes to weight but I am not really that anxious to undergo transformation because I am content with what I have. I do want to be fit just because I would like to travel light, literally and figuratively. If it’s possible, I also want more beautiful eyes than what I have now. With the aid of eyelash growth products I think thicker eyelashes will do the trick.

I know a woman who can’t seem to get contented with what she was given. She is already beautiful but she feels the need to add layers and layers of make-up and accessories just so she would look ‘good’. I do believe that with her image issues, sooner or later she might feel the need to undergo the knife for some enhancements to her physical appearance.

Thank goodness I don’t feel the need for that! I am content.

My sisters and friends would often tell me this: why worry when there is a solution to almost every problem we face? I agree although there are days when I must admit it’s hard for me to remember it.

I worry about the state of my income for the past couple of months. The global crisis has affected my source of income. I told my sister my problem and she said that why not pursue an online business degree while I am waiting for the opportunities to pick up again? I can finally go get my MBA and tap on my savings for now while I am waiting for things to start to climb once more. And she’s right!

Why am I worrying when there is actually little to worry about? In every obstacle there is a blessing in disguise. I’d like to think that way.

I just wish there are less obstacles along the way for all of us.

Good things come to those who wait. I agree. 100%! My friend Rachelle waited a long time before she finally donned the nursing scrubs that she so wanted to wear. She first took up optometry and then shifted to a minor degree just to finish college and be able to work. Life took a different turn for her when she got pregnant with her only child and got married eventually. She realized that her passion truly lies in a different field so she took up Nursing. It took her a while as funds didn’t come continuously. She persevered and gave her all. She waited and it became true… good thing came to her because she waited.

She is now a registered nurse and working in a government hospital in the city. Absolutely inspiring what she went through and how she came out a victor!

I saw this really cool photo of a 3D drawing (shown above) and it reminded me of my goal for this week: to get term life insurance for someone. I need to do this right away because the existing one will expire by the 28th of this month! The person is traveling with some people I know and I was asked by him to get the new term life in effect as soon as possible.

And I am about to go and get the quotes now!

I’ve seen the new iPhone and I know that it is calling out my name. I told my sister that this coming 2012 will be the year that I will indulge on travel and gadgets for myself. Apple products will be on top of my list for the gadgets I want to buy.

I haven’t really indulged in a long time, buying anything my heart desires for myself. But this time around I will really indulge myself and come what may!

Last month’s top performer in the call center company was given a reward card. Since my cousin already knows that another reward card will be given to this month’s top performer along with a cash incentive, he is really doing his best to be the top among the thousand agents in the company! It isn’t easy but with a motivation like that I do think it’s natural for every agent to try.

I used to work for a call center company so I know how a reward card and a cash incentive or any kind of incentive can motivate an agent. They will really double their efforts to get the incentive dangling over their heads. I remember preparing a check for 40k for the top agent of the year and when the guy got it, he couldn’t believe his luck!

I would exert more effort, too, if it would mean an incentive is in the offing. Why not aim for it, right?

This one guy, an aspiring actor, who is quite popular these days paraded around in breeches. I was in the studio where he had a photo shoot and I swear I almost fainted when I saw him! He is sexy and hot and he definitely knows it and is using it to his benefit!

Well, if you have that kind of body, all lean and muscles and sleek yumminess, I don’t think there’s any reason NOT to parade around half-naked. You need to flaunt what you’ve got sometimes and what better way to do it than a photo shoot where you can earn just from being sexy! Tisha’s life is almost perfect until she learned that her mom is suffering from cancer. Her otherwise very neat life now has a blot in it. She doesn’t know what to do and is in the brink of a breakdown.

Good thing her boyfriend is very supportive. He is analyzing things and is wondering why her mom got bladder cancer when she isn’t even smoking. We are all calling an older cousin The Lawyer. He passed the last board exams and since then he became the source of so much pride of his family we started calling him The Lawyer or sometimes the professional. Ha-ha-ha! He was so happy he passed the board. His parents, my uncle and my aunt, are both so happy they gave him a samsonite briefcase that he can use for work. He already works as a paralegal in a prestigious law office and now that he is a board passer already, he will start working as an attorney in the firm.

We all can’t wait to see him in a court of law working for what he’s studied for.

Gladys is very thankful for the snow chains that she bought months ago when there wasn’t any snow yet. The roads are dangerous because of the snow but she still has to go to the office every day and go run errands for the family so the snow chains play an important role in her safety whenever she’s on the road.
