Last three movies

What were the last three movies you saw and did you enjoy them?

The last 3 movies I saw are Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Dear John, and Sherlock Holmes. I enjoyed the first and last one. The middle is just okay.

LightningThief

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief was good. The movie is about the son of Poseidon and how he found out he was a descendant of a Greek god. He is a demi-god being accused of stealing Zeus’ thunderbolt. After watching the movie, it made you want to grab your old mythology book and read it all over again.

Dear John is a love story between a soldier and a college girl. They met while she’s on vacation. After years of maintaining a long-distance relationship (he’s somewhere being a soldier, she’s in college in the US) through exchange of letters (thus, the title of the movie), she just decided that it’s over. She stopped writing to him and decided to marry the family friend who’s older than her and has an autistic son. When they saw each other years later, John going home because his father died, she realized how much she’s still in love with John (who wouldn’t? He’s uber hot!). Long story short, the husband had cancer and died. She and John reconnected and lived happily ever after.

After watching the movie, it made me want to strangle the girl for being fickleminded!

Sherlock Holmes is a really good movie! Jude Law and Robert Downey, Jr. are the best! I went out of the movie house in love with them both haha

I need friends? Who doesn’t? =)

You Need Friends to Be Happy

You are a friendly, social person. You seek out connections and relationships.
Being close to others is very important to you, and you don’t like discord.

You feel great when you’re cooperating and working with others. You enjoy belonging to a group.
Nothing makes you feel worse that feeling alone or alienated. You want to be liked by those around you.

Me in dreads

You Are Dreads

You are accepting, peaceful, and connected with nature. You’ve reached a state of bliss.
Your idea of style is being completely natural and comfortable. You aren’t trying to impress anyone.

At your best, you are simple and content. You don’t need much in this world to be happy.
At your worst, you are a little irresponsible. You are on “island time”!

Somewhat traditional me

Your Handwriting Says You Are Somewhat Traditional

You are a laid back person with rather low energy. You aren’t lazy… you *are* sensitive and empathetic.

You are somewhat outgoing, but you’re not a natural extrovert. You think first before you act. You tend to be independent, rational, and logical.

You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.

You need a bit of space in your life, but you’re not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.

You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart.

You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous.

Easily bored

book

I easily get bored. That’s why I need to have a diversion always on standby. And my diversion comes in the form of books! I have a lot of books always on standby to cure my boredom. In fact, I always have at least three books beside me should I need something else to focus on.

What about you, what cures your boredom?

New book: I Didn’t Marry You Because I Love You

Daza

A new book from the witty woman I like :)

Jullie Yap Daza’s little blue book I Didn’t Marry You Because I Love You brings on chuckles from its readers. The book is a collection of quips and quotes courtesy of famous friends and anonymous lovers.

Go get your copy now! I will within the week.

Note: I am not paid to promote this book. I just know that I like Jullie Yap Daza and her wittiness.

What about you?

You Are 53% Selfish

You are quite balanced. You are able to compromise when it’s in the best interests of those involved.

But you’re no pushover. If something is important to you, you’ll get it!

At peace

I saw a blogger took this test and thought I’d take it, too. How Peaceful Am I?

You Are 45% Peaceful

In general, you think the world’s a pretty great place – and you’re happy to be a part of it. Sometimes you struggle with life, but who doesn’t? You are quite level headed, though you have more inner angst than you’d like.

Glass half full?

My short attention span is at it again! So while I am in my bored and unfocused state, I answered a Blog Things quiz. And here’s the result…

You See the Glass as Half Empty

No matter what’s going on in your life, you can always find something to complain about.
The world feels like an uncertain and even downright hostile place. it feels like the cards are stacked against you.

Even when things feel good, you don’t believe they will last. It’s important for you not to get your hopes up.
While you don’t have to be a wide eyed optimist, a little positive thinking may help you enjoy life more. It might even improve your health!

I think the result has something to do with my regrets in life. When I look back, when I step back and look at my life so far, it’s filled with regrets. There were so many bad decisions. There were so many things I could have done differently. There were things I could have prioritized more.

I don’t really see the glass as half full. It might have been that way but I am trying to be more positive now.

March is here!

What better way to start the month than to take a quiz at Blog Things! Here’s one…

You Are Buffy the Vampire Slayer

“We saved the world. I say we have to party.”

So much fun!
