Peace and quiet and alone time. That’s what I need. Just a day or two away from everything and everyone and all the stress that comes with city life. All the stress that comes with being me. I can be NOT ME for a day or two in Bora Bora, right? I would love to be there NOW!

I use two computers for work: a laptop and a desktop. I alternate using the two and share files between it. When I am outside, I make sure to bring my laptop with me. My desktop is sort of my backup when I need to be on my computer for hours.
But there are times when I also go somewhere and I don’t bring my laptop with me. There are places I go to that a valuable item bigger than my wallet and cellphone is not advisable to bring. That’s when a cloud backup becomes necessary to me. I can easily access my files anytime, anywhere I want and need to. I can borrow a laptop and use it to access my files and do my work. That’s what I love about having an unlimited virtual storage space. It’s also something I love about automatic backups. All you need to do is download and once installed in your computer, you are assured that a backup will always be available for access.
A friend of mine told me about this kind of service. He was using the same cloud backup service and since he knows I travel quite a lot these days, told me to get the same service as it will really be beneficial to me. He’s right!

Courage is the tiny voice inside our heads that tells us we can do it! It’s that brave part of us that pushes us to do things we won’t normally do.
But just like that saying that we should choose our battles, it does not always have to be move forward and be brave! Courage can also mean that, yes, we can do it but it doesn’t have to be RIGHT NOW all the time!

Happy Sunday everyone! Don’t forget to say a prayer of thanksgiving for everything you were given this past week.
One of my good friends is spending time in a foreign country right now. She wanted to experience a freezing cold weather and she got it! We were able to talk over the phone and I could hear her teeth chattering. It was really cold and even with the layers of clothing she had on, she could still feel the chill in her bones.
I was worried about her getting sick there but she told me the place where she’s staying have heated mattress pads on. At least she is warm at night. Pneumonia is so easy to catch and I don’t want her catching it or even getting the flu from the shock in weather difference her body is experiencing. She told me she is doing okay. She just doesn’t have to stand still because that’s when the cold creeps in. If she’s moving, the cold weather is more tolerable.
That’s good to know.
I was talking to my best friend about the difference between our generation versus this one. During our times, you could bring cash and not have to worry about getting robbed, unless you were in a dark street in the middle of the night and it was obvious you were carrying lots of money in your bag. These days you don’t even have your cash with you anymore, you only have your credit cards with you and you still get robbed! Sad but true.
That’s why my best friend got me a rfid credit card protection. It’s a wallet that can protect your credit cards and other identification cards from being stolen digitally. A digital pickpocket only needs a device to point in your bag and he can get all important personal and financial information from you, without touching any of your cards! But with that protection, you are assured that nothing will happen to your valuable information.
I do love modern technology but sometimes people with bad intentions make it so hard for us to totally love it.
I was undecided whether to buy The Future of Us by Jay Asher as I have been reading mixed reviews about it. I love his first book Thirteen Reasons Why so I thought I’d buy this next one. And since it has social networking in it, I thought I can relate to the book.
So I was already holding the book while inside the bookstore when a light bulb moment happened to me…
Instead of buying the book, I should just probably save it first so I can buy silver bars! I will invest my money and see it grow and then I can buy all the books I want! No need for me to become undecided about spending money on my books in the future.
I really love light bulb moments!
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a city escape like the tree house in the photo? A couple of days away from the hustle and bustle of city life. A couple of days surrounded by nature and waking up to the chirping of the birds and hearing the sound of the wind at night.
That would be bliss!
So the man behind the very successful bakery store in this city embraced change and that includes modern technology. When most stores don’t have barcode scanners yet, his store already had POS Hardware and his people already trained to operate it. He went ahead and sought what would give him the edge over his competition. No wonder his business is still as booming as it was a couple of years ago. Still the number 1 bakery this side of the country!
Sometimes all we need is just more faith in what life has in store for us. A leap of faith and trust that everything will fall into place.
Kyle is going to shower his woman with all the love he has this coming weekend. He already chose from the engagement rings he saw online. He is ready with his lines. He is ready to make her fall in love with him some more!
Kyle and his girlfriend have been going steady for the past three years. They fell madly in love while both attending a convention. They realized they’re both working in the same building and from then on, were inseparable. And now, Kyle is ready to take it one step higher.
He can’t wait to call her his wife!
My aunt talked to me about her planned expansion. She has a small restaurant in front of her house. People from the bank nearby as well as other office workers and neighbors are her regulars. Majority of her regulars are clamoring for a bigger place for them to eat at. They are always in a hurry to finish so others can take their tables and eat her sumptuous meals as well.
So my aunt is asking my help on her planned expansion. She will be buying the adjacent lot and will have a bigger wing of her restaurant built there. She will be getting a Restaurant System and will be hiring additional people to help her.
Of course, I will help! I won’t be asking for any fees but just free meals so I can eat more of her delicious dishes.
You feel like you are almost there… it is almost within your reach… almost…
And then it goes down and it’s so far up again.
Life is like a roller coaster ride. Happiness is like the clouds above the ferris wheel.
It feels like it’s almost within your reach but then it’s not.
Happiness is fleeting.
So when you find it, grab on to it… hold on.

This blog is being hosted by a friend of mine. When I thought of using WordPress for my own domain I chose to have it hosted by a friend because I didn’t know how to go about getting my own hosting account. I chose to have it monitored and maintained by my friend because I wasn’t really thinking of ‘expanding’ and opening new blogs. But the past couple of weeks I was researching about web hosting accounts and going independent. No, I don’t have any problems with my friend and her hosting skills. I am just thinking of hosting my other blogs in WordPress as well and I don’t think my friend can accommodate all of it.

This is the best place to go out and enjoy nature. A place in Netherlands. They say this is the Venice of the North. Ah, if I can go to this place I will surely spend more time outside than I’ve ever spent in my life.

I saw a number of western handbags online and I fell in love with the Cowgirl West Multi White Hide Handbag. One of the reasons why I would want to go back to working in the office is the fact that I can use my bags when I do so. I have a lot of bags and I easily get attracted to new ones. Since right now I am working freelance, I don’t get to use much of the bags I have.
Anyway, it doesn’t matter if I still have some brand new, unused bags in the closet. I will go buy the Cowgirl West Multi White Hide Handbag that I saw online and will use it the next time I meet my friends.
