Every minute spent thinking things up…

Housewarming gift

I was thinking of a gift for my friend’s housewarming party that will take place on Sunday. And then it dawned on me… a Robern Medicine cabinet! When I visited her at home, I noticed that their guest bathroom has no medicine cabinet in it.

A medicine cabinet not only functions as such. It also serves as the mirror in front of the sink. And it’s a safe place to put your medicines in that kids can’t reach. I am getting one for my friend.

A cheaper alternative

Who will say no to cheap insurance? Not me! In fact, I know a lot of people who are also looking for a cheaper alternative to the current insurance rates they are paying right now. Any expense where one can save from will be grabbed at for sure.

An elderly woman wants to give her caregiver a term life insurance plan. It will be one of the benefits that she’s decided to give her caregiver who’s been with her for the past three years now. Since she has limited funds now, she’s looking for a cheap one.

Role models

I am a fan of young girls who act as role model to their equally young fans. There’s Dakota Fanning, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Emma Watson. Locally, there’s KC Concepcion, Sarah Geronimo, Charice, Kim Chiu and many others. I like the fact that their fame doesn’t go to their heads. They remain humble and close to their families. Some prioritize(d) their education before show business. Think of Dakota Fanning, Emma Watson, KC Concepcion and Sarah Geronimo. These girls are good enough to remind their fans that education comes first because when all the fame and fortune fade, a degree is all they’ll have left with them.

Plus, you don’t hear any scandal attached to their names. Good set of young actresses whom the little kids and teens can emulate.

Sitting idly in the bank

A friend suggested I go to the US Gold Bureau site. She noticed that I’ve been checking my money in the bank from time to time. She realized that I’m letting it sit idly in my account, not doing anything to increase the amount. I was told by my friend to check out the gold bullion. It can be a good way to preserve whatever money I have right now.

I think I will buy one. I will have to talk to the bureau’s hard assets professionals because I still have some queries. If you have, too, go to USGoldBureau.com now.

Unsure

UnsureI am unsure of so many things most of the time. I grew up relying on my parents, asking for their advice and always going for what they tell me to do.

Even now at 32, I still ask for my dad’s advice. I decide on my own but I still base my decisions loosely on my dad’s advice. I don’t know if this is bad or not. I must admit that there are impulsive decisions I made just because my dad nagged me about it.

I know you will tell me that it’s good that I still listen to my dad even at my age. But I do know that I should ultimately follow my own mind and heart for I will be the one who will suffer the consequences of it at the end of the day.

Quote of the day

quote

When you find a look that speaks to you, you’ll be comfortable and look beautiful. That’s the real power of fashion – to enhance who you already are.

I must admit that I am no fashion plate. I always go for what will be comfortable for me. I also go for safe colors, black being the main one.

I know it fits me so I go for it.

Be prepared for the future

Imagine how comfortable your life will be if you have something to draw on even when you can no longer walk? That’s the fruit of investing for the future. Planning ahead and readying your future to make it worth your remaining years. So why not buy gold coins and use it as an investment?

Some find it morbid to talk about one’s old age and eventual death. In my case, I find it practical. I want to be able to invest and use it for my old age. What will remain will be for those who will survive me. That’s not morbid, right? That’s being prepared!

Taste of Savory

Savory Pancit Canton and Chicken

Yum!

I am craving right now for a Savory Long Life Pancit Canton and Fried Chicken. I love Savory’s pancit canton because it is not dry and it tastes just right. Not too salty unlike some pancit canton in other restaurants. I also like Savory’s fried chicken. Like that of Max’s, Savory’s fried chicken is juicy and the taste goes through the bones! Plus the gravy is a must when eating their chicken.

I will eat at Savory soon…

Overcrowded mind

Overcrowded Mind

My mind is as overcrowded as that jeepney in the photo above. There’s just too many things going on inside it at any given time. It’s become hard to concentrate now. I think I need a day off. A day for myself alone. A day when I don’t have to think of anybody else but me.

And possibly, I can slowly sort out the chaos in my mind…

Books and bags of mine

My dad was reprimanding me and my sisters about the unorganized stuff we have in our room. I was especially scolded for my piles of books and bags that I have. I even have those promotional tote bags I got from the department store the last time I was there to avail of the mall wide sale.

Anyway, I will be giving my friends and cousins some of the bags I have and not been using anymore. I have a lot. Since it will just accumulate dust if I insist on keeping it, I might as well give it away to those who will use it.

Looks like a model

She really looks like a model. She’s tall, skinny and olive-skinned. Whatever clothes you make her wear look good on her. She dressed in equestrian clothing the other day because she joined a local play and she was asked to dress that way. Boy did she look like a model for equestrian clothing! If there’s a modeling scout who watched her that day, she would have been a professional model by now.

Some women are born lucky with their physique. She’s one of those women. And mind you, she’s not out to look like a model. She just happens to be born that way already.

Lost pendant

The lost pendant was found beside the cigars on the drawer inside the study. The people in the house were all looking for it, the pendant belonging to an important house guest. It has been missing for hours. They’re just lucky the little kid joined the search amidst their disapproval. The little kid was the one who found it.

Have you noticed how sometimes the more we look for a stuff the more unlucky we are to find it? Sometimes, we just need to regroup, clear our minds, and then to set out once we were able to rest.

Huge crushes

I had a huge crush on this sophomore guy when I was already a senior. His name was Jonathan. I remember he was so darn cute! He’s my sister’s classmate. He knew I had a crush on him and I didn’t mind. I was like that. I let the person I had a crush on know my feelings for him. Makapal talaga mukha ko noon! Hehehe

There was also this project in our Values Education subject wherein we were all given a prayer leaf each for babies who were to be aborted. We were to ‘adopt’ two babies, name them, and then would pray for them every day. I named my babies Jonathan after him and Vergel after the then popular basketball player with whom I had a huge crush on, too.

Sleepless nights

Sleep doesn’t come easily to her unless she takes her sleeping pills. She’s been suffering from sleep deprivation for the past couple of months now. Always worrying about so many things and without any solution in the horizon, it’s really taking so much from her.

I have been like that in the past. Sleepless nights and countless hours of worrying about the future. Until I realized that worrying only made me unhealthy. It didn’t do me any good so I just lifted everything up to Him and just did my best in all the things I did.

I am still doing the best I can do and working harder than ever.

A boost in confidence

Every one of us needs a boost from time to time. There are days when we feel so insecure with just about everything about us. During those days, we can use a helping hand in picking ourselves up to go back on track.

A friend of mine told me about extenze. He was feeling insecure that time so he talked to a professional about it and well, suffice it to say that the extenze was more than enough to get back his confidence. Now, that’s a boost!

Emotional woman

Emotional Woman

I look tough. When you look at me, you’d think right away that I am the type of person who doesn’t cry. But you know what? I am an emotional woman. I just tend to hide things from everyone because I am maintaining a touch persona. For my family.

I cry over the littlest things. Imagine, I cry over a tv commercial! I just don’t like it that people fuss over me. They tend to when they see me looking miserable.

I. Need. Motivation!

motivation

I am the type of person who needs motivation from time to time. Whenever I feel down, I need something, anything to bring back my urge to work harder. Because when I feel down, I don’t feel like working at all. I am sure you can relate to what I am saying here.

And you know what? I am very easy to motivate. Even a brand new pen and paper can motivate me to go back on track and start working hard again.

That’s how I am ever since I was in college.
