Wanderlust

My aunt Wendy already got her travel reward card. My aunt is a frequent traveler. She travels via different modes of transportation. She is a wanderlust and she knows it. She was the breadwinner and when all her siblings graduated from college, she indulged and gave in to the wanderlust in her.

She was able to travel most of the Asian and European countries. Next, she plans to travel to all the states of the USA. Good luck to her! I hope I can get the same opportunity to see the world like my aunt.

Change from time to time

The combination of the door locks is easy to remember. And it’s not good! The couple next door had a system installed at home. What will the system do if the password is just a giveaway?

So the couple were advised to change their door locks. Plus, going digital has just so many downside to it you need to make sure first that the passwords you are putting are alphanumeric and not something that is easy to understand and recall.

Out to impress

If he only has the funds right now, he will get the best acne treatment he can get his hands on. He is out to impress a girl at work. He feels that because of his acne, the girl is hesitant to go out with him. He caught her looking at his face a few times and he knew each and every time that she’s contemplating the demise of my acne.

Well, she’s about to get surprised soon! He is just saving up and before she’ll know what hit her, his face will be as clear as the blue skies.

Paella

I love the paella that my grand-aunt made for me. As usual, since she knows I love eating a lot, she made my favorite dish for me. I am already starting with my diet but because of the delicious paella, I had to stop my diet for a day. Good thing I had a fat burner with me. I took it after the second helpings of paella so as to at least lessen the impact of the two helpings of paella in my body.

I swear, if it’s paellla, there’s no diet for me.

My scrap (note)book

I have this really cool notebook that I found back in college. There were stores near the university selling different school items. I found the unique and pretty notebook there!

I remember I couldn’t afford it. It was expensive, selling for a hundred bucks. During that time, a hundred bucks can get you through 3 days of school already. But I really wanted that notebook so I saved up and bought it when I already had the money.

I made it a scrapbook. I wrote my favorite quotes in it, some inspirational stories and lots of kikay stuff. I almost lost it, my dad putting it in the junk box in our storage area. Good thing I found it over the weekend. Now, it will surely be filled with more kikay stuff ;)

P.S. Sorry, I will just post a photo of it tomorrow after I get my digicam fixed.

Oh, rain!

rain

I have a love-hate relationship with rain. I love it when it’s raining and I am inside the house. I hate it when I am outside and it is raining. I love the cold weather, I hate the muddy roads.

What I love about rain more than anything else is the promise of something new after a downpour. There’s a general feeling of being cleansed. And of finding the rainbow at the end it all.

First big investment

Jonah is bent on saving enough so that he can buy gold coins. It will be his first big investment. He has a short term money market placement in the bank but he wants more. So he searched and asked friends and they recommended investing in gold, silver or other precious metals. And the way to do it is through the US Gold Bureau.

Jonah researched and is happy about he found out. He knew now that investing in gold will preserve his wealth more than any other kind of investment out there. He is also excited about owning gold. He wants to show his relatives that the person they once looked down on is now the proud owner of legitimate gold!

Staying warm

warm

When the typhoon hit the country, all I wanted to do was to burrow under the blanket and be warm. Thanks to the electric provider here in the metro, I didn’t need a blanket anymore. No power, weather inside the house became warm.

So what I did was just chit chatted with my siblings and just spaced out.

What did you do?

Sweet Dreams of my youth

sweet-dreams

I am still looking for the teen pocketbooks Sweet Dreams. I will buy any Sweet Dreams book that is for sale. I really love the books and I want to collect it again.

Have you read any Sweet Dreams book? My favorites are P.S. I Love You, Comedy of Errors, No Strings Attached, Wrong Way Romance, and Fair Weather Love.

What’s yours?

Practicing on campus

High-quality salon services. That’s what students at the Regency Jacksonville Cosmetology School learn. Not only do they learn how to do it, they also get to practice how to do it!

This is the unique approach in cosmetology education being used in all the 30 campuses of Regency across the US. Students offer their services for a discount to the public. They perform salon services under expert faculty supervision. It’s a great way to know how far a student has come in his/her knowledge on cosmetology.

If you are interested in becoming a student or you know someone who does, just go to or refer the site at http://www.RegencyBeauty.com and know more about the Regency way.

Views from the deck

Wouldn’t it be totally cool if you have these views from your deck?

Sunrise

Sunset

Now that’s what you call beauty!

Some people are really lucky to have money in their disposal to get properties they can grow old in. Of course a tsunami can easily destroy a house by the shore. But you don’t think about it when you have these views. You don’t think about disasters or the cost of repairs and maintenance when all you can think about is God’s generosity in sharing something as breathtaking as the view of the sun rising and setting.

Quote of the day

quote

Understand that the right to choose your own path is a sacred privilege. Use it. Dwell in possibility.

- Oprah

And once again, Miss O is spot on! I do believe that we choose our own path and when we already make a choice and made a wrong one, it is hard to go back and choose again. But we can do that. We can change our course. It’s all up to us.

Odd jobs for wood dash

Since Rey doesn’t have enough money to buy the wood dash he wants for his car, he did odd jobs. He cleaned cars of his neighbors. He accompanied his uncles and aunts to process different documents. He also fixed computer problems of neighbors and friends. All for a minimal fee he asked. And guess what? He is now ready to buy the wood dash he has been eyeing for quite sometime now!

He is getting it from CARiD.com where he saw not only the wood dash kit but also other car accessories he is now saving up for as well. It’s good that Rey isn’t asking money from his parents but doing something, working for it, to be able to buy what his car needs.

Quesadillas

quesadillas

I am craving for quesadillas! There is no restaurant near us offering one. I wish we live in the Tomas Morato area where there are a lot of restaurants, fast food joints, and diners. There’s one in every street. I am sure I can find the quesadillas I am craving for there.

Lost ipods

Both Nic and Gary, my teenage cousins, lost their ipods in school. My aunts are probably there now to inquire about what happened. The two were told not to bring their brand new ipods but they wanted to show it to their friends so they still brought it to school with them. They left it in their bags and went to lunch at the school cafeteria. When they went back after thirty minutes, their ipods were gone!

I think schools are places prone to burglaries and robberies. And not by outsiders but other kids themselves! How else could you explain the disappearance of the ipods? Nobody else knew the ipods were in my cousins’ bags but their classmates. Who do you suspect then?

Two old tv sets

My uncle brought home two sets of tv with tv stands. His boss gave it to him because they replaced the tv sets they have at home with brand new HDTV. Wow! I told my uncle that the next time his boss discards the HDTV, I would want to have the other one.

There are some people who really have the means to buy brand new products whenever they want to. I hope I can be in that position in a few years. I can buy brand new products, yes, but not on a whim. I need to save up for it first and then budget accordingly.

Kissing @#s is love?!?

ass

Someone just loves to kiss someone’s ass! There’s no other way to say it but that. Or I should have just posted the photo above and captioned it as kissing someone’s ass is love?

I get irritated when I see the person kissing the other person’s behind. Always. I mean can’t the person think of anything else to do but wait for updates? Seriously?

Helping is satisfying.

There is something satisfying with helping another person in need. Even as simple a gesture as sending out baby shower invitations for her gives you an enormous feeling of satisfaction. I help those who are close to me and my family as much as I can. If I can do it, then all you need to do is ask.

Of course, I have my limitations. If you just keep on asking and depending on me, I would know it and I will start declining every request. I have a friend who’s like that. Now, whenever she asks for a favor, I decline it. There’s a difference to needing and abusing someone’s generosity.
