Pet lover

My cousin has a couple of pets at home. Puppies, kittens, birds of different kinds, turtles, hamsters. She has a lot because she is genuinely interested with pets. She loves it! She is even thinking of putting up a pet franchise business. I know that when she’s a little kid, she used to frequent this pet store a block away from their home. She would hang out there to care for the pets. When she turned thirteen, she even worked for a pet store near her school. That’s how much she loves animals!

I bet she’s already thinking of a space for her business and the kinds of animals she’ll put there.

Easy way out

Sometimes I feel like taking the easy way out when it comes to my weight loss plans. It’s just so hard especially when I am tired I feel like eating a lot or drinking soda. I’ve had ice cream twice the past week because I felt down. I needed the happy hormone so I indulged. But I had to cut back on my other meals because of it.

Today, I felt like drinking a bottle of soda again. I settled for iced tea instead. I felt like eating some junk food while working. Again, I settled for an alternative. Nothing. I feel like I am deprived but I know I’m not. I just have these cravings that I cannot indulge in and it’s making me feel that way.

But I know I will regret taking the easy way out. In short, quitting is not an option.

Argh!

Always sick

My friend is taking prescription medication right now. She was sick with something that had to do with her colon. She’s okay now but she still needs to continue taking her medicine as per doctor’s orders. She tried stopping once, telling herself she might be depending too much on her medication. Her sickness acted up again and she ended up in the hospital. Turned out that she really needs her medication or she will suffer once more.

She’s always sick with something. Flu is the least worrisome of all. I do hope that she’ll get rid of all her that’s ailing her. And soon!

Easily bored

book

I easily get bored. That’s why I need to have a diversion always on standby. And my diversion comes in the form of books! I have a lot of books always on standby to cure my boredom. In fact, I always have at least three books beside me should I need something else to focus on.

What about you, what cures your boredom?

Law abiding citizen

law

Another thing I am scared off is to get into legal trouble. I know there are lawyers out there like the Oklahoma City lawyers who can defend you or me if ever but who wants to get to try that, right? As much as possible, I abide by the law. Admittedly, I don’t know everything. Some laws I get shocked upon learning. But those I know, I abide with.

How about you? Are you also a law abiding citizen?

Well-toned

I am scared of any enhancement out there. I don’t think I need it. I am satisfied with whatever body I have (minus several pounds, that is) and I am happy as I am. But if you are into toned or well-muscled body, then so be it! I know most guys these days go to the gym to get abs or to make their arms and legs toned. There are supplements one can take. There’s also a muscle supplement for those who need it.

Hey, whatever makes you tick, right? I don’t think I’d want a well-toned body. As long as I get near my ideal weight, that would be fine with me.

Fruits for thought

I got this from my aunt who got it from the back of a health drink cup she drank from…

Fruits

Strawberry – a good refreshing cleanser for the whole body.
Orange – helps in cleansing up your digestive system.
Melon – a gentle laxative that stimulates action on the kidneys.
Watermelon – stimulates the appetite, all the while cleansing the bladder and kidneys.
Apple – helps relieve indigestion, keep cholesterol stable and suppress the appetite.
Banana – an excellent aid in digestion.
Mango – gives energy, vitality and promotes healthy skin.
Papaya – an energy booster that stimulates the appetite and cleanses the internal organs.
Pineapple – aids in the digestion of protein.
Grape – an excellent metabolism stimulator.

Go get yourself a basket of fruits and eat the fruit your body needs the most.

Sick place

I don’t like hospitals. Who does, right? For me hospitals remind me of the loved ones I lost that’s why I dislike it so much. But let’s face it, if we are sick, if I get sick, I don’t have much choice but to go to the hospital, right? So even though I don’t like it much, I am preparing for a future trip to that place. In fact, I even got a Medicare supplement insurance should my Medicare failed to cover the tab.

My biggest fear is to find out I need a trip to the hospital. As I’ve said, I don’t like the place. Plus, twice my loved ones were told to go to the hospital, it didn’t go well. They were told that they’re going to die soon. So can you blame me for not wanting to go there even for check-ups?

Hygiene

Hygiene is very important. Like if you share towels, chances are, you will get whatever the other person is afflicted with. Acne, rashes… Teens have it. Even adults are prone to it! But worry no more since for acne, there’s an adult acne treatment for it.

I remember my mom telling us to be mindful of our hygiene. Don’t let others borrow your comb. No borrowing of clothes if you can help it. And many others that moms often remind their kids about. I think we all got it because my sisters and I are very particular on things. Especially with the use of bathrooms.

Better routine

I need to start taking a vitamin that will help me have a stronger immune system. I lack sleep most days and just catch up during the weekends. As a result, my immune system is suffering. Whereas before I hardly get flu, these days, whenever the weather changes even a bit, I get cough and colds. It sucks! It’s the price I have to pay to earn more.

But I need to take care of myself more, I know. I need to get more sleep. I suck at time management so I need to start on that. I need to set up a better routine to follow on weekdays so that my weekends won’t just be spent on sleeping.

Want some halo-halo?

halohalo

Our neighbor is selling halo-halo since last week. It’s chock full of ingredients that contain lots of calories. I haven’t eaten a glass yet but my sisters have been buying it every other day. I think if I join them, I’d be in need of more diet pills to help me lose more weight. My goal for this year is to lose even a few pounds a month. I badly need to. I want to be near my ideal weight and I will do everything to control myself from sliding back to my old self.

Clear skin

I know someone who is suffering from skin problems, acne in particular. I am not sure if he’s doing something about it because every time I see him, it seems that his acne worsens. Once, I heard a common friend told him to do something about it. Try accutane or something. I didn’t hear his answer but I do hope that he follows the advice. He needs it.

If you have a skin problem, better find ways to do something about it. There are products you can use. You can go to your doctor to ask for one. Just make sure you check out the reviews made for the product or the side effects of it. And when you find it satisfactory, then go ahead and try it. Clear skin can make a lot of difference to your aura.

Various ways to save on your purchases

I love that fact that there are so many ways to save money from your purchases and consumptions. Home Depot Coupons can be used to save up for home and garden products you need. I remember reading about a mom who really makes use of coupons she gathers to be able to save from her purchases as much as she can. Imagine this, a pantry full of products for $8! Can you beat that?

For those people who love to eat out, there are Restaurant coupons you can use. Find the restaurant of your choice and then get the coupons so you can save up on your tab. Nothing to be embarrassed about if it is your finances. Got to step up and manage it well, right?

Even the Wall Street Journal knows about it! Go and visit www.Savings.com and then go find the coupons you need to start cutting down on those expenses of yours.

Banofee pie

banofee_pie

I was craving for a banofee pie last week. I love bananas so any food that has banana in it is a favorite. I was already planning on going to any of the Starbucks around to get my fill of the pie. Luckily, I was too lazy to go out because when I met up with friends last Friday, there’s a banofee pie from Banapple!

A slice is all I need because I am not into too much sweets these days. A slice and I was happy!

Meet Naveen Jain

A person doesn’t get to where he is at the top if it weren’t for hard work. That’s what Naveen Jain did! Work hard, that is. He is a self-made millionaire who founded Intelius. The company specializes in public records information and offers background checks and identity theft protection to consumers and businesses. Before that, he founded InfoSpace with little financing. That alone is impressive already. InfoSpace, since its inception in 1998, agreed to a $4 billion merger with Go2Net.

Naveen Jain worked for the web genius himself, Bill Gates. He worked for Microsoft as Program Manager for seven years until he left in 1996 to pursue his own destiny. As I’ve said, he founded InfoSpace and then Intelius. Aside from that he also owns stakes in Mail.com, Xoom.com, ImageX. Naveen belongs to the Forbes 400 richest in America in 2000.

I love hearing stories of self-made millionaires. It gives you and me the hope that we can also make it. Working hard is the key. If we work hard and we focus on our goals, then we can also achieve what they have achieved! Be in the list of the richest people in the world in Forbes magazine. Yes!
